Hello! I'm Claudius Lai, an award-winning nature and wildlife photographer from Hong Kong, based in Japan. My work focuses on atmosphere, wildlife presence, and quiet visual storytelling shaped by time outdoors. This portfolio presents selected photographs, personal series, and exhibition history.

Background & Approach

I studied Photography at Falmouth University and continue to develop long-term projects while participating in competitions and exhibitions. My process emphasizes patient observation, composition, and narrative continuity across single images and series.

Artistic & Academic Pursuits

My passion for visual arts is a core part of my identity. I am an avid photographer, and this love for the craft led me to pursue and complete a BA(Hons) in Photography from Falmouth University. I actively compete in photography and am honoured to have received 20+ awards since 2021. My work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across Japan. This artistic practice sharpens my eye for composition, light, and narrative.

Future Goals

I am driven by a deep-seated curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning. My ambition is to continue exploring the intersection of documentary intent, artistic expression, and global collaboration. I am always seeking opportunities to grow, with the long-term goal of expanding international exhibitions and publications.
